Pokemon improvements
Evolving keeps your moves, trades can carry feathers and items, and a wormhole ride you step away from is saved. NPC trainers fight with their moves’ real effects, your box takes combined searches, and player auctions can have a buy-now price. PvP battles get a turn clock, a Forfeit button and a monthly ranked ladder. /starter comes with 5 Poke Balls, and daily quests only ask for what you can do today.
- Evolving keeps your Pokemon’s moves and offers the new ones to swap in.
- Trades start with a request, and can carry feathers, items or a gift.
- A wormhole ride you leave, or one that times out, is saved.
- /box search takes combined filters, and /release filter and /favorite filter act on one.
- PvP wins count on a ranked ladder that resets every month: /board pvp.
Starting out and daily quests
You can pick a starter even if you caught a Pokemon first, and it comes with 5 Poke Balls. It joins your party if there is room, and waits in your box if not.
With no balls, it tells you about /starter and the shop.
You only get quests you can finish today: no rod quests without the rod, and no hatch quests unless an egg can hatch before midnight UTC. Once a day, Reroll swaps the quests you have not started.
Evolution and Shadows
Your Pokemon keeps its moves, PP and PP Ups. New moves fill empty slots, and the rest are offered one at a time to swap in.
A Pokemon holding one does not evolve.
It shows what will evolve and which items it will use. Nothing happens until you press Confirm.
Pick which Shadow Pokemon to purify, and confirm first. The EXP it banked as a Shadow comes back with the +20% bonus and levels it up.
Trades
/trade start sends Accept and Decline buttons. A request expires after 5 minutes.
Offer feathers and bag items as well as Pokemon: up to 6 Pokemon and 6 kinds of item a side.
One side can offer nothing.
If an offered Pokemon changes after a confirm, nothing is traded and you both confirm again.
An open trade closes after 15 minutes with no changes.
Every option that asks for one lists your box as you type. An ID, a nickname or a species all work.
Box and auctions
Combine terms like shiny legendary iv>=90 level<50 type:fire, and put ! in front of one to leave it out. #1234 is a catch ID and dex:133 a dex number. /box search:help lists every term.
Release everything a search matches, after a preview. Favourites, your party, and Pokemon in the daycare, a battle team or an auction are kept.
Favourite or unfavourite everything a search matches.
A player sale can carry a buy-now price. Pay it and the lot is yours at once.
Find listings by Pokemon, price or buy-now price.
Wormholes and spawns
A ride you leave or that times out is saved, and /wormhole picks it back up.
The shop does not sell one in a server where you cannot ride yet.
Each wormhole shows its real odds. White is always an Ultra Beast.
/poke shinyhunt pings:On mentions you when your target spawns, at most once every 10 minutes.
Mods can set a role for legendary, mythical and event spawns with /pokemod alertrole.
Battles
Trainers, gym leaders, the Battle Tower and event bosses use their moves’ real effects: recoil, draining, healing and multi-hit.
They take a sure knockout, heal when low, set up or inflict a status once while healthy, and never waste a turn on a move that cannot work.
Trainers holding a Choice item no longer lock themselves into a status move. NPCs stop using Ground moves into an Air Balloon or priority moves into Dazzling, Queenly Majesty or Armor Tail.
An NPC Pokemon keeps the PP it had.
It lists the server’s trainers as you type.
PvP battles
A Forfeit button gives your opponent the win once you confirm. If no turn was played, nobody gets a prize or a rating change.
Each turn has 90 seconds. If you chose and your opponent did not, they lose. Two turns with nobody moving end the battle with no result.
Leaving a PvP battle after a turn counts as a forfeit. Before the first turn it ends with no result.
A Champion who leaves a title battle, forfeits or runs out the clock loses the title.
Every PvP win counts on a ladder shared by every server. /board pvp shows the top 10 in yours and your own rank. Only the first 3 battles a day against the same player change ratings.
The ladder resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). The top 3, each with at least 5 ranked battles, earn a rank card achievement.
When PokeAPI is slow
Pokemon commands answer at once instead of timing out while Pokemon data loads, and battle images load faster.
When PokeAPI is down, the bot says so in plain words instead of failing with a vague error.
