Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the Ravens website and the Raven-chan Discord bot store, why, and how you can have it removed. We keep the data footprint small and never sell it.
What we collect
We only store what the features you use actually need:
- Discord identifiers: your Discord user ID (and, for staff features, server roles) so the bot can recognise you, apply permissions, and attribute your submissions.
- Linked AQW characters: if you use the character or verification commands, the in-game names you link to your Discord account.
- Bot activity data: economy balances, Pokémon and game progression, and similar state tied to your Discord ID so those features can persist between sessions.
- Member submissions: renders and memories you submit through the bot, together with your display name for attribution, shown publicly on the site once approved by staff.
- Staff sign-in: if you are a staff member, we use Discord OAuth to verify your identity for the moderation area; we store a short-lived session and a minimal audit log of moderation actions.
- Bug reports: anything you type into the report form, which is filed as an issue on our GitHub repository.
- Patreon link: if you choose to connect a Patreon account, we store your Patreon user ID alongside your Discord ID, together with your current pledge amount and its status, so supporter perks and per-server premium can be granted automatically and kept in sync. All payment is handled entirely by Patreon on their platform. We never see or store card numbers, billing addresses, or any other payment details.
We do not ask for or store passwords, email addresses, payment details, or your AQW account credentials.
How we use it
- To run the bot's commands and remember your progress.
- To display approved community submissions on the site.
- To operate the staff moderation tools and keep an accountability log.
- To fix bugs and keep the service running.
We do not sell your data, run advertising on it, or share it with third parties except the infrastructure needed to run the service (for example, Discord itself, GitHub for bug reports, and Patreon for supporter subscriptions if you link one).
How long we keep it
Feature data is kept while your account is active in the community. Approved submissions remain public until you or staff remove them. Sign-in sessions are short-lived. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Removing your data
You can ask us to remove the data tied to your Discord account at any time: linked characters, bot activity data, and your submissions. A Patreon link can likewise be removed on request; cancelling your pledge on Patreon already ends any premium it granted.
The simplest way to reach the team, including for any data request described above, is the Ravens Discord. Open a ticket or message a staff member and we'll help.
Children
The service follows Discord's Terms of Service, which require users to meet Discord's minimum age. It is not directed at children below that age.
Changes
If we make a meaningful change to this policy we'll update the date above and announce it in the Ravens Discord.
This policy is written in plain language for a community project and is not legal advice.
