Custom commands from the website, and verification that knows whose server it is in

Two things a server runs into on its first day. Getting pictures onto a !command meant an album on somebody else’s image host, and verification treated every server as though it were Ravens. Both are fixed, and the signed-in pages were rebuilt around one layout while we were in there.

Custom !commands, on the website

At ravensguild.app/servers, under your server.

The whole command on one screen

The Discord version takes one link per submit, shows you nothing of what the command already holds, and has no way to drop a single picture out of twelve. The page lists every image on every command, and each one has a Remove button. Making and deleting commands is there too.

Upload, instead of hosting it somewhere else

Pick a file and it goes on our own storage, up to 8 MB each and 25 per command. That replaces the album: there is no third party in the way, no account to make, and a picture is live the moment you add it rather than after a cache expires. Links you paste still work, and so does an imgur or imgchest album if you already have one.

It refuses what would not have shown up

A link to a page, rather than to the image itself, used to save fine and then post nothing much. It is now refused, and the message says how to get the real address.

Verification

Your server is not Ravens, and the bot knows now

The home guild setting fell back to Ravens everywhere, and that is the name the bot checks a character against. So in every server but ours nobody counted as home: a server’s own guild members verified and were handed the visitor role, under a panel explaining it was because they were not in Ravens. Set your home guild in /config, under Verifier Guilds. A server that has not set one now hands out no visitor role at all, and every screen says so instead of naming a guild.

The panel wears the right badge

The verify embed used the raven whatever bot posted it, so AQWired’s own panel carried Raven-chan’s bird. It uses the emoji set in /botsettings, like every other footer. An already posted panel updates itself in place.

Everywhere you are signed in

One layout

Your stuff, your servers and guild management were five pages that had each drifted into their own look. They share a sidebar now, so the pages next to the one you are on are always visible, and they share their cards, buttons and notices. On a phone the sidebar becomes a row you can swipe.

Less waffle

A lot of the writing explained why something worked the way it did, or said again what the heading above it already said. That is gone. What is left is the parts that stop you making a mistake.
